Full Job Description

Job Summary

To be eligible to apply for this position you must live in the Greater Toronto Area and be legally entitled to work in Canada. We are not accepting International applicants at this time.

As a condition of employment, candidates must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping department. To be responsible for the cleanliness of all guestrooms, public areas and team members’ areas of the hotel.

· In conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper, to participate in on-going planning and consultation with reference to Housekeeping and Laundry projects.
· Discussion about daily events and problem solving issues.
· Compliance with daily requirements such as linen and cleanliness issues.

Daily coaching, counseling, problem solving, general information sharing and communication networking with all Floor Managers and Houseman.

Key Result Areas
· Planning the resources for manpower, problem solving and process improvement.
· Assist in monitoring and achieving the departmental goals and objectives.
· Assist with the complete preparation and implementation of the yearly Operational and Capital Budget with involvement of the Executive Housekeeper.
Customer Satisfaction
· To interact with contractors and sales representatives in a manner that fosters good relations that results in quality products and standards.
Process Improvement/ Productivity
· Controlling all fiscal expenses, in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper on a daily, weekly, monthly basis including, forecasting, daily labor reports, P&L statements, expense controls, General Ledger verification and monitoring of productivity levels.


Working Experience
· Minimum three years Managerial experience in a union environment.
· Previous housekeeping experience is required.
· Knowledge of Opera. Full knowledge of Microsoft software package, WHMIS, OHSA, Human Rights Code, Employment Standards
· University degree, business related
Soft Skills
· Must have excellent communication, motivational, morale building, organizational skills
