QA Inspector (Day)
MAD is looking for a QA Inspector to join our growing team.
Primary Function:
The incumbent will be reporting to the Quality Manager and working alongside Quality Control Technicians. The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and testing products while playing an important role in helping to maintain a standard of excellence. We are looking for a driven and resourceful individual who can handle a fast-pace environment.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience as a QA Inspector
- Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience an asset
- Manufacturing experience an asset
- Experience using basic hand inspection tools
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings/design
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be able to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Proficient in use of basic computer technology
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to lift loads up to 50lbs (assisted if needed)
Responsibilities, Skills, and Competencies:
- Collect documentation related to final inspection and review for accuracy related to sales order.
- Perform inspections on inbound and outbound product to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are met consistently and communicates any related issues to Quality Manager.
- Incoming inspection of parts, and materials as per drawings.
- Perform audits to verify quality check list of process.
- Work with team members to understand the needs of the job, environment, and ensure compliance to specifications.
- Maintain quality documentation according to established Quality manual and procedures.
- Maintain daily shift log of problems and information.
- End of line inspections.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 5%.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.
This is a day shift position working out of our Mississauga, Ontario location, at least 44 hours weekly.
Hours are typically Monday – Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm, Fridays 7:00am to 3:30pm
