Full Job Description
The Nelson Waldorf School is hiring a janitor to provide services to the school, ensuring the interior and exterior cleanliness of school facilities.
Experience Preferred
- Experience in school Janitorial services or the equivalent in other institutions and/or firms
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated aptitude for the successful completion of tasks
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Flexible work hours, including some evenings and weekends
- Valid BC driver’s license and own transportation
- Clear criminal record check
Responsibilities
- Cleaning of multiples building on school grounds:
- Wet and dry mopping floors
- Vacuuming floors and carpets
- Spot cleaning floors and carpets as required
- Removal of garbage to transfer station
- Sanitizing bathrooms
- Sanitize childcare and kindergarten classrooms daily when programs are in session
- Dusting and cleaning of walls
- Extra cleaning duties during festivals and/or events
- Deep cleaning of facilities during school closures
- Keeping inventory of supplies
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week
Salary: From $19.00 per hour
